After exhausting all of the computer science classes in college, having already taken pottery and knowing that I couldn't draw to save my life, I got my first Nikon camera and took a semester of photography.  After my first semester I felt as though I found something that I was really good at and really enjoyed.  In the years that followed, I moved around quite a bit and blew through countless rolls of film.  When digital cameras became the rage, I was given a hand-me-down Nikon Coolpix and used that for several years until my dear cat decided it was time for me to upgrade to a DSLR by knocking my camera off of a table and breaking it.

I think my biggest love about photography is the unlimited options that are available to you.  When I started, I used construction lights from Home Depot which also seemed to double as a heater for my tiny apartment.  When I upgraded to my DSLR camera, I also moved to using strobe lights where I really started to manipulate light into giving the emotions and feelings that I wanted to portray.  Photographing in the studio is by far my favorite.

In addition to doing the photography itself, I also really enjoy experimenting with hairstyling and 'tuck-n-fold' style fashion designing.  I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most wonderful people along the way who have become great friends and I look forward to making many new friends in the future.
